Nero had trouble adjusting to his wings, a feat highly understandable, for Shelke herself had trouble coping with the residual exhaustion that the neural synaptic net dives left in their wake. The tightly bound man would bump into every stationary object before finally honing in on his stealth like dexterity. He tripped a lot, too. And he had a great difficulty getting back up. Azul was usually the one nominated to help him, since Shelke was too weak and Rosso lacked the required interest to actually care. Weiss advocated tough love and learning for yourself. Thus Azul was always left to pick up the pieces – literally, sometimes, say when Shelke malfunctioned in her terminal – and play big brother for all. It was a feat he preformed without complaint for some five years until the day came when he simply stopped caring and took to only looking after himself. It was a transition that would have stung a lot more had the rest of the group not have gone numb and actually retained feelings of humanity. But they did not – so it was of no great loss, viewed more as an inconvenience than a treachery.

Like, for realz.
Let's move to California, get married, and somehow have kids. Adoption comes to mind. Perhaps mail order. The possibilities are endless.
And this is so ironic, because I was JUST WORKING on Memoires yesterday, obviously thinking of you, and then all of the sudden I am graced with another epic piece of fan art just waiting to be pimped and adored and drooled over.
And - this time I fell in love with the detail. Most specifically the shadowing - like, Nero has a shadow on the ground. Most people would never have taken the time to draw such minute things, or even think to, for that matter.
I am, as always, impressed beyond words by your sheer talent and artistic capabilities - and am now setting up a separate folder on my DA account specifically for fan art - and even more specifically: yours.
Excuse me while I go and share this masterpiece with the world.

Though, if I may be so bold to suggest that you may want to think of consider drawing: "Yuffie attempts a glare, but Shelke kind of holds the award for epic glaring. Yuffie can’t make her eyes change color." -Chapter 3, next?
(I'd fain to see Yuffie go from all 'D:<' to 'O_O' when Shelke just responds by making her eyes glow. xD)

I actually have a list of the snippets I need to draw. It's getting very long. Vixen's creative awesomeness knows no bounds, yes? (And I totally need to get around to reviewing Chapter 3, because OMG THE SHELKERO HINTS, but I haven't had the freaking time to give her what she deserves... So I think it has to wait until later because I don't want to give her a crappy half-assed review.)

I am so happy I am able to make you happy with my hints of Shelke X Nero, which I wasn't aware was even legal until I met this girl named ReadingChick who seemed quite rabid about it...
(And now I fear that I, too, am now infected with this compelling disease.)
My mind is just boggled that, not only do I get the honor and extreme pleasure of receiving fan art, but I also have readers like QuarterComet here who are willing to take the time to talk about my little drabble of a story and like it enough to actually have favorite scenes.
(You two have just made my LIFE.)
And the No Doz comment? Totally made of win. Laughed. Hard. Parents thought I was asphyxiating, actually.
And the Shelke's Funnies comment elicited no different of a reaction. Thus I fear I am in love with the two of you for brightening my dismal morning so extremely.
It's people like you who give me all the inspiration I will ever need to get through life.

(Blacklight [link] is this nifty forum RC and another person (MedliR) created as 'The Shelkero Manifesto'. I only found out about it during August, so I'm pretty much a n00b still... though, it's got some interesting topics! :3)
